The Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens), commonly known as the betta, is a freshwater fish native to Southeast Asia, namely Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. While there are 73 species of the genus Betta, only Betta splendens are eponymously called "bettas", due largely to their global popularity as pets: they are among the most widely available aquarium fish in the world, due to their varied and vibrant color, diverse morphology, and relatively low maintenance.

is a suborder of medium-sized mammals belonging to the families Megalonychidae (two-toed sloths) and the families Bradypodidae (three-toed sloths) with a total of six species. They were described and classified in 2001 by the group Delsuc, Catzeflis, Stanhope, and Douzery. The common characteristics of sloths are slowness and inactivity and a rather dull, lethargic appearance, but this is exactly what they are. is the evolution to adapt to their environment, especially those without many nutrients, they have to conserve energy by restricting movement. They sleep about 10 hours a day, eat in moderation (with a diet of mainly green vegetables).
