Has 4 Stages.
1. Prophase: chromatin into chromosomes, the nuclear envelope breaks down, chromosomes attach to spindle fibers by their centromeres
2. Metaphase: chromosomes line up along the metaphase plate(center of the cell)
3. Anaphase: sister chromatids are pulled to opposite poles of the cell. Begins when homologous chromosomes separate. The nuclear envelope reforms and nucleoli reappear
4. Telophase: nuclear envelope, finishes the creation of 2 daughter cells.
