I am an English language teacher at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Social Sciences High School in Mersin, Türkiye. I have been teaching English to teenagers for twenty years. I am into foreign languages and drama, the courses of which I attended in England and Ireland. I do some voluntary work as a drama educator at schools. I am also keen on reading books, watching movies and carrying out nature projects. I like taking parts in e Twinning projects as I believe that e Twinning projects broaden our horizons. I believe that we will do a lot of good activities together in this project. Literary classics are evergreen and reading classics allows us to engage with the best works of the greatest minds. A good story gets better if we have someone to share it with. Sharing ideas in a virtual book club will encourage critical thinking and deeper engagement with stories and challenge teachers and students to become higher level thinkers. It will improve the communication skills and build confidence, fostering personal and professional growth. It will also give both teachers and students the chance of collaborating in innovative ways. I feel really excited about OBC. I wish peaceful, lovely and healthy days to all.

This year I work in a senior high school in Rhodes (Greece)-really far away from my home and my family- and I decided to join this project because I have always wanted to learn how eTwinning works but I did not have the chance for many reasons. I was a substitute teacher back then. I have been serving as a principal since 2011, though, since I like school administration. My undergraduate studies are related to electrical engineering. My name is Odile Demaison. I teach English at Lycée Faidherbe in Lille in the North of France. I have been teaching for 20 years but this is my first year at this school... as a teacher. Because I first entered this school in 1991, as a pupil. I spent 2 years in England, one year as an Erasmus student and one year working as a lectrice at another university. I learnt a lot when I was abroad, not just the language but also about the culture. That's why I think it is a great opportunity we have to be able to work on an international project thanks to eTwinning. I love the idea of a book club and using various web tools. I'm sure we will share interesting ideas and points of views about the novels and the activities. When I was 17, I spent a whole summer living in Connecticut (USA) and three years later I had the opportunity of moving to Lund (Sweden) as an Erasmus student.
I became an English teacher five years ago, and I mostly work with students who are between 12 and 18 years old.
