We got the chance to read Cassie Sullivan’s diary, which she has been documenting everything that she did during an invasion. With the help of Ben Parish, Evan Walker, and Cassie’s younger brother Sammy Sullivan and other extraordinary kids, they were able to find out a way to outsmart The Others. Yet she still was determined to find her brother after all of that. She is very determined and is really good at concentrating on the goal. Quoting a section from her diary, “I couldn’t outrun them. I couldn’t outgun them. Maybe I could outsmart them.” This shows how determined she was, even when she was in a situation where there doesn’t seem to be any hope of escaping. Cassie says that she copes with everything with humor and sarcasm.
