         <description><![CDATA[<div>What are the benefits of the trend an how would it improve school education?<br><br>The internet and computers are as common in classrooms today as textbooks and pencils. These tools, when it's used with educational technology, can improve students' performance. Technology can help teachers identify each student's needs and requirements in order to develop individualized solutions. Technology, such as auto-grading, can make teaching easier while also improving student engagement. Many students already use technology in their daily lives, therefore there is a chance for them to use it to improve their education. Modern students prefer hands-on learning versus passively listening to an instructor's lecture. The use of educational technology by teachers allows interactive learning with students. Together, the most recent developments in educational technology help teachers in keeping up with the interests of their students.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The need for this trend in Oman:<br><br>Education around the world has been changed, even the way of searching for information or getting knowledge, and this has been changed due to the technological boom around the world, everyone nowadays searches from the internet by using different devices and materials, there is no need to the library and search for a book then search for the information needed, now you only need to click on your device and search in the internet. Because of that, the education system needs to fit these global changes and provide devices and internet connection for students in the school, so they get the abilities and the future skills which are connected to technology. As motioned in the (Education march in the Sultanate of Oman) the Ministry developed the study plan and reviewed the content of the curricula, objectives, and teaching aids due to the technological boom. So, they need devices in the schools and internet connection, so they gain the future skills and abilities that fit technology.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Suggestions on how this innovation can be applied in Oman:<br><br>Provide computer labs with an internet connection in each school, and the number of labs depends on the number of students.<br><br>Some subjects can be taught in a different way, the teacher can give the students the topic of the lesson and ask them to bring information as they can about the topic, and this can be done by providing some devices to the students in the classroom, ex: tablets, laptops.<br><br>Teachers can use a platform which is an environment through which the computer simulates a classroom with teaching and learning activities, such as documents, exercises, and work, and the students can submit their homework there.&nbsp;<br><br>In the geography subject, students can use Maps to locate content, find different geographical locations, view images from satellites, and explore landscapes from different places.<br><br>Teachers can use web 2.0 tools to implement in the teaching process.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Scholarly articles addressing the trend:<br><br>1- (Opportunities and Challenges of Mobile Learning Implementation in Schools in Oman):&nbsp;<br>To keep up with the rapid technological innovation that has been encroaching on every aspect of modern life, this research aims to cover Omani schools to know what the teachers and students think about technology integration into schools and to identify the use of technology in Omani schools. The findings showed that there are four difficulties that teachers and students are facing. A cognitively demanding setting, technical issues, disruption and distraction, and teachers' confidence are some of these difficulties.<br><br>2- This article talks about the current state of educational technologies in Omani higher education institutions and their future prospects. At first, the article touched on the importance of technology. The article also touched on the positive relationship that technology combines with the individual achievement of students at all academic levels. The article also indicated that Omani students perform better academically when technology is available in their study environment, and the significant impact of educational technology on enhancing student achievement, as it is a means of improving students' academic level. Finally, the article addresses the reasons why Oman lags behind in the field of professional development, due to its failure to keep pace with developments in educational technology. Therefore, some solutions have been introduced, including modernization and retraining of staff and teachers. <br><br></div>]]></description>
