It's a warstyle first person shooter video game series primarily and initially developed by Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games, and to a lesser etent Raven Software and distibuited by Activision.

The development phases of the first titles of the Call of Duty series are usually the same. Almost all titles, being focused on World War ll and its battles. The objective of all the titles is basic,to relive the most important battles of this war, usually with a British, American or Russian soldier.

The first installment of the game was very well received by players at the time, when COD2 arrived it was a great improvement and almost a revolution since it implemented many improvements to the gameplay and it was here that the company that published this series of video games was realized how much he could win with this saga.
The exclusive COD3 came out for PS3 and it wasn´t that good, but when COD4 MODERN WARFARE came out, it was a real revolution, and not only for the saga, but also for the shooters usually.
