Ever since the attack on 9/11 the world is prejudice and has fear towards them. The fear comes from extremist who take their religion very seriously. A word commonly given to Muslims is "terrorist", but this is not always the case. An example of how the media stereotypes Muslims is in ABC's Lost. " Care is taken to the show that Jarrah is now a member of an anti- terrorism squad ( and is thus not terrorist himself), but his actions are repeatedly portrayed as inherently violent" ( Media Smarts) (media portrays of religion). This is an example of portraying Muslims badly or as violent. It is horrible how some of the Muslims are treated. What I found interesting is how most Muslims are kind innocent people, but  the media tries  to show the extreme Muslims and tries  to make all Muslims look bad.
