This is false, experts in the field have numerous amounts of tests and can determine dyslexia on the spot. Also, they can find out if a kid has dyslexia even at 5 years! Dyslexics are the most imaginative, and one o the most successful people in any field they partake in. People are harsh and mean, but just by being aware of talking about sensitive subjects makes us less likely to hurt others feelings. This disorder is quite common, as approximately one fifths, or twenty percent of Americans have dyslexia. You would think that since there are many kids with dyslexia, that there would be some sort of training for teachers to identify and help fix their students who have the disorder. However, this is not the case; teachers, when they go to school, are not specifically taught to deal with dyslexia. This leads parents to be angry with teachers for not noticing the child’s problems. There are many ways for teachers and parents to identify dyslexia in a kid. If the kid is a hesitant reader, has trouble sounding out words, or has trouble reading smoothly, your child most likely has dyslexia. Even though this disorder holds back many kids during school, people with dyslexia often succeed later in life. Dyslexics are creative minded, and pursue their interests far better than normal people. They are hardworking and very social. Even though dyslexics succeed in life, they would rather you not refer to hem as a dyslexic. Many feel as if dyslexia holds them back and makes them dumb, so it is smart to avoid that word. Dyslexia is a very common disorder, but you should only be concerned of dyslexia if it runs in your family.
