My inspiration for the project comes from my own experiences and feelings, and I re-place the perspective of the project into that of a young woman shaped by the aforementioned "consumerist ➕ male gaze".

The reason why I struggled and hesitated for a long time about the theme and direction of the project was precisely because I myself was a participant in this cultural infiltration. I recognize the problem with cute, but I can't go beyond problem solving, actively participating and self-condemning in discerning the underlying rules and conforming to society's aesthetic choices.

I found that this sense of ambivalence, coming from the perspective of young East Asian girls, was a very good place to start. We don't have to condemn or solve a problem.
