Why my story is a 20th century short story- My story is a 20th century short story because it is written by a famous 20th century writer Arthur Gordon in the lat 1980's

Protagonist-
The protagonist, or the main character in the story is the man.

Antagonist- The antagonist, or the opposing force in the story is the "sea devil."

Theme- The theme for the story is to be prepared for the worst.

Central conflict- The central conflict is when the sea devil tries to kill the man that is fishing.
