I think it was the constant fighting with the Indians. First you have the rebellion of Nathaniel Baccon which consisted of him killing a good number of Indians. Also you have the war of Jenkin's ear which was another battle between the colonists and the Indians.

The biggest challenge the settler of the New World faced with must have been the coldness since there was much life going on at that period of time. They had to struggle to study the lands where were going to be their new homes.

I believe that the new diseases that were acquired were the biggest challenge or obstacle that the settlers had to overcome because they were not familiar or immunized to the new diseases. A good number of their population were terminated.

I believe survining the harsh winters and burtal summers would be the

biggest challenge the settelers in the New World faced. The winters would

very cold and the snow would destroy crops and houses in the colonies.

The summer although warm would bring disese carring mosquitos ravaging

what is left of the settellers.
