The Middle East has a varied geography. It has large deserts including much of the Arabian Peninsula, which is appropriately called, "The Empty Quarter." Snow-covered mountain peaks rise above 19,000 feet. There are also a few major rivers.

Do they have a religion?

Muslims do not eat pork, drink alcohol or gamble. Many Jews, Christians and Muslims will wear a covering over their heads to show their commitment to God and pious living. The Arabic word for covering is “hijab.”

Did they have any achievements?

The world has gained much from the Muslim culture, especially ideas from the Golden Age of the Islamic civilization - the period from the 7th to the 13th centuries. Muslims also discovered medicine.

What was their political system?

Muhammad, a preacher, talked of rewards in heaven for those who followed Allah (God). He told the people they needed to submit to Allah to achieve peace. Muhammad gained many followers but angered others who worshiped many gods. In A.D. 622, Muhammad and his followers learned of a plot to kill the prophet. He and his followers fled Mecca and journeyed to the city of Medina. Here Muhammad continued to spread his religion, and followers built their first place of worship, called a mosque.

Their economy.

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. During this time, Muslims will fast (go without food) between sunrise and sunset. For them, fasting is much more than going without food and water. They also abstain from (go without) negative thoughts and actions. The wealthy are supposed to share their goods with the poor.

Well, kind of, a lot of Muslims followed the same religion.

Can you travel to your civilization today?

I would think not, because the Empire fell a long time ago. It was believed to have been raided and destroyed.
