Khalifah

We as a human naturally being khalifah for ourself. As a khalifah we have mandate from allah to protect this world. As a khalifah we not only worship Allah but also uphold justice, maintain human relationships, and preserve the environment.

Khairu Ummatin

Muslim are called as the best nation because muslim demanded to do amar makruf nahi munkar & also worship to Allah. It can see as easy thing to do but it quite hard in this generation due to requires going through many trials.

Ummah Wasatiyyah

We as Muslims need to have a simple nature in living our lives. Hereby,we should balance worldly matters with the hereafter. In parallel,we are also required to be fair to others so that we can be the best example for other people.

Ibadullah

We are assigned to obey all of God's instructions. Accepting God's provisions with contentment and sincerely dedicating all actions to God alone is also one of our dependence on God.

Islam

The Fundamental Tenets of Islam involve reciting the two words of shahadah, establishing prayers, paying zakat, fasting in the month of Ramadan, and performing the hajj to Mecca for those who can afford it.

Iman

Pillars of faith comprise faith in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, day of Hereafter, and Qada' and Qadar.

Ihsan

Worship Allah as if we see Him, and if not, we feels him see us.

This hadith teaches me that when we worship, we should feel that Allah is always watching so that we can be focus when worshipping Him.Meanwhile,this hadith also emphasizes the fundamentals of Islam that must be present in every Muslim in order to become a successful Muslim in this world and in the hereafter.

-Prophet Muhammad said:

Worship God as He sees us - Al nahlu verse 90

-Ihsan is one of the noble morals.

By way of example:

🌟If relatives are in tough situation, help our family first before helping others.

🌟Reprimand our friends who are in a relationship so that we won't be questioned in the afterlife. It is the duty of a Muslim to reprimand each other.

TAARUF

For taaruf, I briefly introduced myself to all the usrah members. At the same time, I got to know the other usrah members when they introduced themselves. We also played Truth or Dare as an ice-breaking activity with my usrah assistant and the usrah members. I felt happy playing this game because it was very interesting and fun to play together.

DEFINITION OF HIKMAH

🌹 Hikmah in English is referred to as wisdom or philosophy.

🌹Hikmah also refers to intellect and knowledge.

🌹Hikmah is highly valued in Islamic thought and is a positive quality that can be acquired through ibadah ( acts of worship)

The views of scholars and the Tabi'in.

1. According to Eliza Tasbihi, hikmah is the ability to discern the true nature of things and to act accordingly.

2. Rabi Bin Anas explains that hikmah signifies the fear of God.

3. Ibn Zayd defines hikmah as understanding the commands of Allah.

4.Ibn Qutaybah describes hikmah as the combination of knowledge and action.

HIKMAH VS IBADAH

Engaging in acts of worship help people gain hikmah. Ibadah is not only about physical acts but also involves humility,sincerity and devotion. Performing ibadah with the right intention and mindset can cultivate positive qualities while acquiring hikmah.

OBJECTIVE OF HIKMAH IN ISLAM

Its helps individuals understand the religion more deeply and live according to its teaching. It also cultivates good inner qualities such as humility, sincerity and devotion.

🌹In Islam, niyyah refers to the intention or motive behind act which is to attain Allah SWT reward and draw oneself closer to God.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF NIYYAH

Setting a sincere Niyyah is crucial because it distinguishes our acts of worship and ensures they are performed solely for Allah SWT rather than for others. Since intention is the foundation of every deed, any action performed without it may not be accepted by Allah SWT.

SETTING THE RIGHT INTENTION

1. Sincerity

-People should perform ibadah solely for the sake of Allah and not for other reason such as being praised by humans.

2. Purity of Intention

- People should ensure that their intentions are pure and free from any bad motives.

3.Clarity

- People should have clarity about what they need to do and the reasons for doing it.

- People should concentrate on worship and stay away from any distraction, either from their surroundings or themselves.

Sunnah Acts in Prayer

Conditions for the Validity of Wudu'

4. A man touching his wife or another woman intimately

5. Touching the private parts of a person with the palm of the hand

Number of Washings and Wipes in Wuḍūʾ

1. Obligatory (Wajib) – 1 time for each pillar (e.g., washing face, hands, feet, wiping head)

2. Sunnah – 2–3 times (recommended)

3. More than 3 times – Makruh (disliked / discouraged)

TAYAMUM

Reasons for Tayammum

• Being unable to use water, either due to:

  1. A clear obstacle, such as no water available within reachable distance

  2. A Shariah-permitted obstacle, such as using water would delay the healing process

1. Intention (niyyah)

2. Striking dust on the face and both hands with two taps on the dust

3. Observing the correct order (tartib)

KHUSYU'

✨Khusyuʿ is a sunnah, not a pillar of prayer.

How to practice Khusyuʿ:

• Focus and concentration

• Humility and submission

• Calmness and tranquility

• Understanding what is being recited

• Awareness of being in a state of worship to Allah

• Avoiding actions in prayer that are pointless or without purpose

Things That Hinder Khusyu' in Prayer

1. Was-was (whispers/distracting thoughts from Shaytan)

2. Attachment of the heart to things one loves or dislikes

Ways to Attain Khusyu' in Prayer

🪷Praying at the beginning of its prescribed time

🪷Purifying oneself and performing siwāk (cleaning the teeth)

🪷Avoiding thoughts about worldly matters

This topic reminds me of things I sometimes forget, such as the acts that invalidate prayer, wuḍūʾ, and tayammum. I also learned about the sunnah acts that can be applied when performing these forms of worship. Additionally, I now know ways to attain khushūʿ in my prayer. This knowledge is truly worth studying.

2.Al-Jihad (Striving in the path of Allah)

- Muslim have inner struggle are called as jihad al nafs.

-Overcoming laziness and distractions is challenging in today’s world because of various environmental factors. Nevertheless, maintaining consistency in Salah helps strengthen a Muslim’s character.

3.Muhasabah (Self-Reflection)

- People should evaluate their actions and intentions because both can affect their deeds. Therefore, people should make self-reflection a part of their daily routine, so they become more aware of their sins and shortcomings.

4.Iffah (Modesty & self-restraint)

-It guards humans from sinful acts and encourages moral integrity both inside and outside Salah. True Salah influences daily behaviour, shaping it to be either good or bad.

5.Tawaddu' (Humility)

- Salah helps people acknowledge their dependence on Allah, which in turn removes pride and arrogance from the heart. Sujud symbolizes humility.

Khusyu' is an important part of Salah as it helps us worship Allah properly. This topic motivates me to practice Khushūʿ in my prayers every day.

Tahdib Al-Nafs

-All members place an object on their heads. After that, they walk through the corridor without the object falling.

🌹The moral of this game is to teach us to be patient in all situations throughout the process until the end.

Sabr

- Each member takes turns pouring water into the cup without spilling any.The game ends when water is spilled from the cup.

🌹This game teach me to being diligent in doing something so that it runs smoothly. It also teaches me the meaning of perseverance in carrying out a task.

SYUKUR

-Look out of the window and mention three blessings of Allah that us can see, and provide evidence that us have mentioned them.

🌹This game made me realize to always be grateful for the blessings from Allah, even if they are small, as it brought me happiness at that moment.

Stesen 4

UKHUWAH

-Take a creative group selfie that represents love and brotherhood among the Usrah members.

🌹Taking the picture together made me feel like we are a family. It created a joyful moment that strengthened our friendship and reminded us of the love and brotherhood we share as Usrah members.

Stesen 5

Amanah

-Members play the “broken radio” game. It starts with the first person reading a message (from a chosen paper) and whispering it to the second member. The last member then says the words aloud in front of the camera.

🌹This game taught me to be an amanah (trustworthy) person, which means taking care of the trust given by others. When we are asked to pass on information, we do so honestly, without lying.

Stesen 6

-Each member writes a short note saying "Good luck with your studies" on a small piece of paper and leaves it on the table for anyone who will sit there later.

🌹Simple motivational words can encourage people to find the strength to do something. So, even if it is simple, giving them to others can at least brighten their day.

One thing I want to improve before Ramadan arrives is to become a better Muslim. This includes not judging people, even in my heart, and performing quality Salah. At the same time, I want to have the strength to avoid doing bad deeds and not be easily tempted by my desires (hawa nafsu).

ZAKAH VS SADAQAH

🍁Zakah is a compulsory act of worship in Islam, performed through formal rituals with prescribed amounts and specific times, such as Zakah al-Fitr and Zakah al-Mal.

🍁Sadaqah is a recommended act of worship in Islam. It is an informal form of worship with no prescribed amount or specific time, and it includes all acts of giving and charity.

VIRTUES OF ZAKAH

1.Tawakkul

• Place complete reliance and trust in Allah SWT.

• People who give their wealth through Zakah show that they are not afraid their wealth will decrease, because they trust that Allah will replace it with other blessings.

2.Ukhuwah

• The bond of brotherhood among people that creates harmony and connect them through their shared Islamic Aqidah.

• Zakah helps Muslims develop social awareness and fosters unity within the Muslim community, reducing selfishness and individualism in their hearts while encouraging empathy for one another.

In conclusion, paying Zakah allows Muslims to help those in need while rectifying their intention to rely on Allah rather than on their wealth. It also helps prevent us from being stingy towards others.
