Students can upload images and videos of projects they have been working on. GC is also connected to many other online tools and platforms that we use in my class.
I use the Remind App to correspond with parents and students. You can make general announcements, link to content for Google classroom, Quizlet, and other sites, or message a parent directly.

I use several apps in my classroom. I use REMIND to keep parents informed of happenings in the classroom. I also use class dojo which is great for behavior and also lets the parents know how their student is behaving. I also use google classroom where all of the websites we use are located. It is easy for the students to get to and maneuvering is easy for them.

Determining the scientific evidence

When identifying practices/programs/interventions etc., it can be difficult for educators to determine whether or not something is evidence-based. I typically recommend 3 go-to sites. 1: What Works Clearinghouse https://ies.ed.gov/ncee/wwc/: Identify programs and practices that have met the most rigorous bar for evidence. Does the practice/program I am considering meet the WWC bar?

2. National Center For Intensive Intervention Tools Chart: (https://charts.intensiveintervention.org/aintervention) search academic and behavioral interventions and assessments and look at an evidence snapshot.

3. Finally, when I learn about a practice either in a conference, a blog post, a book, or a research article--I want to know how strong the effect is. I use the Campbell Collaborative Effect Size Generator so that I can compare the results of the empirical study of a practice with other practices: https://www.campbellcollaboration.org/research-resources/effect-size-calculator.html
