We are writing to you today to share with you our campaign to craft a statewide bill to shift to a four-day workweek and ask for your support in advancing this critical policy. As we ride this wave of the pandemic, inflation, and exhaustion. It is important to foster a culture and environment that provides a sound reset for balance and well-being, family and community. Our coalition, Workers United for a Four Day Work Week, makes this request of you all with the support and dedication of thousands of workers across the state. Our members and your constituents, firmly believe that this bill will help solve the growing crisis of worker shortages due to employee burnout and decreasing rates of employee retention in workplaces across industries, public, private, philanthropy, and nonprofit organizations.

Our coalition members value a balanced work/life, prioritizing more time for family, and believed a shortened workweek would increase their overall productivity while at work.

We know that this is just the beginning of the conversation and there are many important discussions to be had about making this a reality. We believe that starting this conversation with you all now that we can craft a better solution together.
