However, I am still not quite sure about the secondary fonts that I will use in the brand. I am thinking about the type of font that would goes along. I wanted the font to be as simple as I can because I think that if it is simple, it will not be dominant over the wordmark font. Therefore, I tried to look at the sans serif, and slap fonts. After I talked with my tutor about the font, I told her that I like Outfit and Poppins the most because since the wordmark font is already playful and seems like hand drawn, it is better to use the font that is simple to make it seems trustworthy which she also agree with my opinion. After that, I asked her to help me choosing between theses 2 fonts which she said that she likes Outfit more that Poppins because Poppins seems to be a little bit dense which I also agree with her. I tried to use the same set of colours as the old symbol and also tried to use gradient in the symbol. For the wavy shape one, I tried to make the position of colour and shape to be close as the old symbol as possible. I also tried with the rectangle shape because it is would be simple while be able to show the colour that is in the old logo. For the gradient designs, I tried it because I think that I want the symbol to be in plain colour because I think that it is too simple and doesn't portray the brand characteristics as much as I want. I chose the pink and purple because I think it is cute and it can also represent the dawn and even sky colour. For the green, orange, and blue gradient, I chose these colours because it represent the land, as green for the land, blue for the sky and orange for the sun.

After finished choosing the design, I tried to made a developed version of it so that I can make sure that I will get the one that I like. The reason that I chose the symbol that inside looks like jigsaw because I think that I like the colours that are used in it and it also seems simpler than the wavy one. For the outline, actually I found that the one without the outline is quite cute. It seems more like a toy shop which I also agree on what she said. Therefore, I decided to look back on the Brand Symbol (Sketch) to look at the design that I could use it to develop further. After I discussed with my tutor, she suggested me that the symbol on the bottom right corner seems simple and might suit the brand. Consequently, after the tutorial, I tried to trace the old logo by using Adobe illustrator and I found that it is quite hard to trace it because I couldn't exactly click on the old logo which results in the inaccurate shape and size so that I chose to use the shape to trace it instead. After first try, I found that if I trace the shape on the old symbol, it seems strange. I found that I like the first and the second colour the most because the first one makes the brand's primary colour standout while the second one gives the calm and eye relaxing. For size or dimensions of the illustration, if there isn't a specific size which connected to the text, I usually estimated it by myself. My initial thought on the cover is that I want the illustration to connected across the cover. However, I did it in the wrong direction so that it is not connected to each other. Therefore, I decided to draw it again by putting the front cover on my right side and draw the back cover on the left side. It helps me to be more careful on the layout. However, I have faced some of the problems. As my first try, I started by capture the page that I have to draw and then estimate the size of the text by myself. It results in the overlapping between the text and my illustration. Therefore, in the next try, I tried to remove the background and safe the picture as png so that I will be able the move around and adjust its size. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work so that then, in third round, I decided to put in the text and colour before I capture it and draw. I found that this method is working so that I continue working for the illustration by using this method. For the illustration in the search section, I started by looking up on the internet about the thing in each room and then draw them out. For the illustration in the banner in home page, I got the idea from the way when I went to bought something and then there is a membership points for people to collect and redeems the rewards. The second idea is to make it into hand which after I tried to put both of them on the actual page, I found that I like the hand one more than the jigsaw one. I found that the hardest part to change for me was the part that I need to change the size of the wordmark and logo because it is hard to make it balance. For the easiest part is the change the layout of the text in the typography page. The one that I questions a lot is the colour palette page. I personally feel like after I added the colour code in, it made the page looks a bit dense.  However, I think that it is necessary so that I decided to add it in.

The overall outcome is better than what I expected. I think that this project is challenging. However, it is quite fun. I have learned many skills while I working.

There are many challenges that I have faced while working with this project. For instance, I have never been using Adobe Xd and Adobe Premiere Pro before so I need to look up on how to use it. I also faced the challenges in adjusting the size of my illustration to make it be able to fit in the the planned spaces. However, the things that I got throughout the project is the opportunities to try to do thing that I have never done before. I have learned to solve the unexpected problems.

For the project outcome, I think there is some problems with colour because I found there is quite different as the printed out and in the computer. Moreover, the colour when exported and the colour in the program is also different. I think that if this problem is solved, the project outcome might look more consistent. However, in the overall picture, I think that it comes out quite good or even better than I expected.
