The political motivations will be focused on glory and the military. If a leader conquers a strong nation, the glory he gains will elevate him to legendary status. One political explanation for imperialism is this, while the other is military. In a war, you want as many people fighting for you as possible, as well as as many locations from which to mount attacks. This is why many countries defeated others and established strategic military bases, such as those along Africa's coasts.

This made them wonder if taking over new territories would make their people happy for their country becoming all round successful state.

Imperialism was essentially the concept of conquering foreign territories in order to extend your country's dominance and power. Many European countries participated in this during the 1800s - 1900s, with Britain being the most successful and even competitive during this age.

Nationalism is the love and strong support of one owns nation, even though it means disliking and suppressing thoughts about other nations. This was a major factor in the leaders' decision to use imperialism, as nationalism was linked to social causes. This is because they want their people to care so much for their country that they can accept any decision or aim they make, no matter how unethical, dangerous, or risky it was.

Source 2 and 3 go together showing that they didn't care about the possible endangerment of some animals and would even force natives to gather these drops, and they killed many of these animals just for greed of resources and money. The last source shows that these soldiers and imperialist goals were to just gain more and more wealth and resources from their territory and gain more ground, to just have more, and force the natives to another religion with their own religion, Christianity)
