Nublexa Uses : Nublexa manufactured by Bayer comes as Generic of Stivarga. Nublexa, 40mg, is a chemotherapy drug that contains Regorafenib as active ingredient. It is used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer (cancer that has spread to other parts of the body). Regorafenib is also used to treat metastatic gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST - a rare type of sarcoma found in the digestive system, most often in the wall of the stomach).

Mechanism of Action : Regorafenib (Nublexa) is a multiple receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) inhibitor. RTKs are involved in cell proliferation, cell survival and tumour progression, depending on the specific kinase. Regorafenib and/or its active metabolites inhibit kinases involved in tumour angiogenesis, oncogenesis and maintenance of tumour microenvironment.

How should you use it safely? 

• Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse about the right way to take Nublexa cancer medicine before you start to use it. Ask questions when you don't know the meaning of a word, or when instructions aren't clear.
• Follow the directions on the prescription label. Do not take it more often than directed. Do not stop taking except on your doctor's advice.
• Take your medication at the same time every day.
• Keep a “medicine calendar” with your pill bottles and note each time you take a dose.
• If you need surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are using regorafenib. You may need to stop using the medicine before your surgery. Follow your doctor's instructions.
• Get into the habit of checking the expiration dates on your medicine bottles, and throw away medicine that has expired.
• While using Regorafenib, your blood pressure will need to be checked often. You may also need frequent blood tests at your doctor's office.
• Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Nublexa or any ingredients of the medication.
• Do not take this oncology drug with grapefruit juice.
