In his quote, Emerson is expressing that man and nature have an unbreakable bond. The way this connects with WALL-E is mainly through the theme. WALL-E brought to our attention the fact that we can’t ignore nature, it’s part of who we are and our lives. In a metaphorical sense WALL-E’s story explains that nature brings us down to earth, it brings us back to our roots. 

Emerson’s quote, “In the woods we return to reason and faith,” is explaining that we are more reasonable in nature. Tina, however, decided that she was going to climb mount Windygap on her own, without thinking that it would be too dangerous in the rain and alone. She decided to do it because she wanted to feel the freedom and she wanted to feel different about life. Thus allowing her thinking climbing alone was a good idea. 

Tiny House, Big Living demonstrates Thoreau’s quote well because it shows how people leave things behind to live a simpler life. They leave the option of having a family, an open space, and a normal life behind, but they also get rid of making huge payments and worrying about bills being outrageous and they are able to live peacefully. They truly escape the normal life and are able to live simply. 

This quote by Thoreau works perfectly with this example because it talks about walking to a different beat than everyone else, and that’s what Camila did and now she makes her own music to her own beat. 

The quote I chose to go with this example is "let every one mind his own business, and endeavor to be what he was made," by Thoreau. I chose this quote to represent this song because if you truly listen to the lyrics, that is exactly what Lady Gaga is telling us to do, be ourselves as we are made to be.
