In mesoamerica there were many different civilizations that lived in the region. Due to so many cultures living in the same area scholars have combined the languages into 21 different families. One of the things that we can see from the languages is the effect of one language on another. In mesoamerica there wasn’t several different languages it was just the same language that kept getting adopted over the years between the different tribes. The first main language was Uto-aztecan and then following that some of the other main groups in the area were: Maya, Zapo-tecan, mixtecan, mixe, zoque, and otopanean.

- There will be a lang. wall the has a map of mesoamerica and will highlight where some of the main lang. were located.

Literature in mesoamerica wasn’t very diverse. It was mainly high leaders that made literature and there were very few genres. These include religious and “territorial narratives”. This is better explained in the article: Although such short inscriptions cannot be fully considered "literature," these ruler names, toponyms, dates, and complex symbolic images were often accompanied by oral interpretations and performances, which would breathe life into the symbols. Another thing they would do is depict great feats in different pieces of art rather than write it down.

-there will be a comparison chart on one of the entrance walls

A stepped pyramid is the greatest form of mesoamerican architecture. Mesoamerican mainly as platforms for temples; international chambers, if present, were small. Mesoamerican pyramids were usually made of stone. They also built grand palaces using mainly post and beam construction, with the occasional “corbel arch”.
