Tony Stark is not an epic hero because he doesn’t come from a nobility. He boast about his abilities. Tony does not ask for help when he needs it. He doesn’t think about the people. He only thinks about what’s best for him. Iron man doesn’t face supernatural foes.

Superman qualifies for many of characteristics of an epic hero. Superman’s entire life is dedicated to battling evil and protecting earth. Superman was born of an alien race with super strength and he lives among humans on earth. as a baby his father put him in a rocket to earth when his home planet blew up so he has traveled from far to get to earth. Superman has supernatural powers as well and he faces supernatural villians who wish to invade earth.

Without superman the humans would not be able to defend earth alone so superman fights foes that mortals can not fight.

Joker is not an epic hero because he is not from noble birth, he is from Gotham City. He hasn't spent much time in battle. He wasn't well known before Batman became his foil. He mainly terrorizes Gotham City and the people that live in it. He never faces supernatural foes and  he never asks for help because he thinks he doesn't need it. He is his own boss. However he could be an epic hero because his intelligence with chemical engineering and weapon design could help humanity. 

Thor is the child of the king of Asguard who also happens to be a god, he receved expert training in his life. He became the greatest warrior and fighter in his world and led its armies. He has traveled to many other worlds whether to wage war or defend the innocent. He has even traveled to earth. Thor has fought many monsters and evil gods, he once killed a giant beast with a single blow from his hammer. He has defeated all of his enemies and is only ever bested by his brother. Thor is probably the closest hero in the comic universe to an epic hero.

For the Hulk really he was in the wrong situation at the wrong time. If the boy had not of been pushed out of the way then Bruce Banner would not be the hulk. Still the Hulk in a way is an Epic Hero because he is capable of good deeds, travels to vass settings, and receives help from numerous heroes. The hulk has extreme strength and rage to carry out deeds when commoners cannot. Mr. Banner can travel to vast settings due to the way he travels in Hulk form which is leaping and jumping great lengths. Hulk receives help with numerous people especially with being on the Avengers team. 

Wonder Woman would be an epic hero because she was born the Queen of the Amazons. She received her powers through a supernatural force, the Greek Gods mainly Aphrodite's.She is also a great warrior because she leaves the Amazon to go fight in WWI. Also show the courage to be the only woman in battle in this time period. This also ties into how she willing to leave her own to help others. She joins the Justice League in March of 1960. “She hot as crap” KJ Jackson

- Dr. Lillian Rose, an inspiring botanist, was poisoned by her herbs that are deadly and untraceable. She survived and received immunity to all natural toxins and disease.

- She had wealthy and emotionally distant parents.

- She wishes to purify the world into an isolated eden. She aligns with evil characters such as Harley Quinn, but only for her own benefit.

We do not believe that Poison Ivy has the prerequisites to be an epic hero. For example, she has never faced a big battle that declared her an epic hero. She also has faced the same enemies time and time again. Additionally, she was raised in a wealthy family, but her childhood was bad because her parents abused her. Her power was not received from a high power such as God, but instead she got her supernatural powers through an attempted murder. Finally, though Poison Ivy may be an above average person and has the power to do good, her vengeance is too strong, categorizing her as a super villain.

Batman fits most of the characteristics of an epic hero. He is an excellent fighter, and is capable of deeds of great strength and courage. It can be said that he was born into a relatively noble stature, as his parents were very rich. He also fights supernatural villains such as Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze. He is also quite humble, and doesn’t require the help of the Gotham City police. However, Batman’s actions are only performed in Gotham, so he doesn’t travel long distances, and he also doesn’t have any superhuman abilities. It can be argued that Batman is an epic hero, but his lack of superpowers and his confinement to Gotham City hurts his case as an epic hero.

Deadpool is known for being a comedian and defeat his opponent by driving them crazy with his incessant chattering. He is raised by his military father. He is capable of deeds of great strength given by his enemy. His whole body was burned and he is humiliated by it so he wears a costume from head to toe. He receives help from the X-men which helps him defeats his enemies. He travels over a vast setting because he’s gone to japan and he came from Canada.

Poison Ivy was seduced by her professor who injected herbal poisons into her causing her transformation. Later on down the road she was persuaded by Marc LeGrande to obtain an Egyptian artifact containing ancient herbs, but he was afraid of her turning her back on him and then attempted to kill her with toxins and other natural poisons but he then realized that she was immune to them.She started her journey in seattle then began traveling from place to place saving plants and protecting the environment which then lead he to Gotham city and she started to run free. The people of Gotham city want to send her back to Akrahm because of all the trouble she’s causing. From city to city she makes her way fighting of those who harm plants and threaten to get in the way of her being alone peacefully with her plants.She’s proven to be a great warrior when she first meets batman and goes from nearly being in love to being his enemy.

Jean gray, often misunderstood, a caring and nurturing woman. Even though we do not believe she is an epic hero ofte times she put herself and her problems back in order to help others. She wasn't a great warrior because she was not able to control her powers and put other people i unnecessary danger. Through research there was no evidence of national heroism, therefore where she originated from did not recognize her as a hero. Although she has supernatural capabilities such as telepathic powers and telekinetic powers that she was born with we still don't think of her as a epic hero. She was not born of noble birth her father was just a professor and her mom's job was unknown. Her death consist of her destroying everything around her and wolverine trying to help her but she was beyond the stage of saving.

He is a member of a subspecies of humans known as mutants who are born with superhuman abilities.

Professor x possesses vast psionic powers,including telepathy, the ability, to induce in other mental illusions, temporary mental or physical paralysis, loss of memories. He controls the mind of others.

Professor X is an epic hero for many reasons. He started his school for Gifted Youngsters, a secret school for mutants which teaches them to harness and master their skills. He has also fights to serve a greater good by promoting peaceful coexistence and equality between humans and mutants in the world. Professor X has many different powers that can control other people's minds as well. He used his powers for good reasons to help train the gifted youngsters in school. He has had evil in him from other opponents but he always fought the opponent back to get the negative powers away from him.
