First you lay out three hula hoops and then place a consonant, vowel, and consonant in each hula hoop at the end of the course there are pictures the student lands on the correct word. It is a great visual for EL learners and students with Autism.

Yolanda Soryl is an amazing resource for teaching literacy. I especially love how engaging, and little prep there is in her activities, but the students are able to practice their listening, reading and writing skills all in one lesson.

My students who are writing can copy the word, my beginning writers can trace or my students with fine motor challenges can clip.
