  • RAs sign up to join the Sustainability Committee.
  • On-site training which covers sustainability objectives, recycling instructions, the role of the RA Sustainability Committee, and ways to engage with their residents during the year.  
  • Setup the site to include relevant literature.  
  • Leave a letter addressed to each resident which includes a site map with details on bin and recycling areas: Example letter and map
  • Attend the welcome talk and discuss with all new residents where, how, and when to recycle. 
  • Meet with their residents right after the welcome talk to give them a tour of their kitchen and cover a list of key topics with them. The residents’ signature is required at that stage to confirm commitment for the rest of the year.  
  • A few days later, RAs organise a welcome event with their residents during which they will actively engage with them and establish good recycling and cleaning habits.
