But this is not the only aspect in every country, there are many sad stories, stories that you will hear about everywhere in Jordan, USA, Sudan and many other countries. 

Poverty and hunger are two sides of the same coin, suffering. 

Their ranking among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals comes in first and second, if that indicates anything it reflects their importance and the priority of finding solutions to them as well. 

the 17 Sustainable Development Goals are like a chain that cannot be separated and if we achieve one goal, we are thus Paving the way for achieving the other goals and so on. 

Poverty is not a new problem that some Jordanians suffer from. Every year, we see new statistics and expect what will happen after that. 

 Of course, if a person suffers from poverty, he is unable to secure his food and basic needs. 

 These are some of the latest statistics from Jordan: 

An analysis conducted by “Al-Ghad” newspaper revealed that 825,000 Jordanians are still subjected to slipping below the poverty line since 2017, which may increase the number of poor people in Jordan who live on less than 100 dinars per month, this comes at a time when the last official statistic in 2017 showed that the number of poor Jordanians reached 1.03 million, and they constitute 15.7% of Jordanians. 

Neither poverty will distinguish whether you are male or female, nor will hunger take into account whether you are old, a child or a young man. 

After what we learned about empathy in the last session, I believe that the importance of empathy lies in our ability to apply it in our lives (our lives which are one of the most important parts of our society) I hope we can completely eradicate poverty and hunger. 

Because everyone is equal and everyone deserves a better life. 

We all deserve to live in a peaceful, safe world, where human rights are protected by law, and where we can rely on our governments to carry out their responsibilities, where countries work together to solve problems not starting them, so in order to do that we should start by treating everyone fairly, and having good fair laws that protect our rights as humans, strong institutions to help solving other challenges. But what about peace? How would you define peace ?. Some will define it as the absence of violence and war , others as a feeling of stability and safety , it actually depends on the person circumstances and past experiences. But not everyone in the world feel safe and secure , countries wage war on each other not knowing the outcomes of ending the lives of people who will suffer both physically and mentally by forcing them to leave their homes in search of peace , soldiers who must go to fight, wipe out the institutions we count on making life feel unstable and not peaceful. In addition, we have one more problem that should be also solved, and that is crime and the way people who do it are being punished.
Crime is a problem everywhere and it is on the rise because of what? Because people who are in charge don’t treat everyone fairly and that makes it easier  for criminals to do whatever they want and difficult for victims to get justice so citizens won’t trust their governments anymore because their voice doesn’t matter and it doesn’t make a change.
Progress in solving these problems is being made world wide not only in Jordan, but there is still much to be done, we all should work hard to promote peace and justice around the world , because we all have a role to play in helping the un reach their goal so we can all live the lives we dream of living.

People in Jordan wants an equal division of services and opportunities regardless of there background, they’re human being that need to be treated equally because this monopolizing strengthens the social hierarchy and wastes human potentials .
