Her boyfriend always says he loves her and all that but he checks out girls and that always makes her mad. You can tell the narrator really love him because at the end when she got in the bus she saw him with the redhead girl and they were kissing, she let it go so they wont have to get in another argument again.

Also she's struggling with he mother saying that " she would never win a beauty contest which means that she isn't pretty enough."Conflict that the narrator is going though is having a boyfriend who doesn't deserve her but she loves him too much.
