After the turn of the sentry people started to relies that we are damaging the earth and something had to be done. people were dumping gases that they didn't think they would use into rivers and it got so bad that in Cleveland the river would sometimes ketch on fire and damage bridges and boats. The phone was also an invention that gave women job opportunity's. Before these inventions were created women were expected to be stay at home wife's who took care of kids and cloths and house hold chores.
