The recommended following House of Ed Tech. &nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned: Through their Google Teacher Tribe, they are collecting a practical lesson plan database. It will be available to their podcasts listeners as a lesson plan idea resource. It will also be searchable. This is a powerful way to connect teachers with content specific lesson plans across the globe. &nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned: Previously I was not aware of what the Google Teacher Tribe was or that it even existed. Interesting network to learn about and use its resources. #GTTribe&nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned: Learned about a new Google Update in Google Docs. They explained the steps or process to cite sources within a google doc as a footnote using MLA or APA format etc.  </div>]]></description>

You now have the option when using Google Classroom to assign assignments to all students, a single student, or a specific group of students; a feature that did not exist before.<br><br>2 - Things to Share: Google Classroom Features has also made an update regarding the ways you receive notifications to help you manage student work.  You can now get a notification when a student submits work after the assigned due date as well as if a student re-submits his or her work.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>3 - Something Learned: Interesting Statistic: Only Up to 25% of schools teaching coding to students. &nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned: It is possible to help students with computer coding.&nbsp; One of the more basic things teachers can do is to go through what you are coding ahead of time yourself. (Practice it as the teacher, on your own, ahead of time.) Just getting the students on the resource is not enough.          <description><![CDATA[<div>3 - Something Learned: Sketchnoting is a visual way to take&nbsp; notes for students using images, drawings, color, shape on paper or tablet that is visually appealing and makes the content meaningful for the note taker.&nbsp; I did not realize this was an actual thing, lol! I have used pre-designed "doodle notes" is what I called them as guided note resources off line here and there in my math classroom because the students seemed to like them, but I did not realize it was an actual thing!&nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned: The resource Sketchnote by Mike Rohde is an awesome resource for those interested in sketch-nothing. She references it several times in the podcast. He shared that sketch-noting "is ideas not art and a way to layout words visually."&nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned: Stacey discusses how sketch-noting starts with basic shapes like circles etc and you build from there. I am a visual learner so I really needed to see what she was talking about in her examples in the podcast. I googled her and looked at her you tube videos! So neat to see how the sketch-note process visually unfolds with basic shapes as she stated, but also the content underneath! </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>2 - Things to Share: Would like to share resource with EC/intervention specialist. We often look for intervention strategies for the "off task student" that might help them be more successful, whether they are a kid with ADD, EC, etc. Sketch - noting is a great tool almost like an outline or mind map to organize thoughts for those type of students .&nbsp; Great intervention strategy to try!&nbsp;<br><br>2 - Things to Share:  Would also like to share resource with team.  "Doodling" in margins is not always a bad thing. Sometimes even though those students appear to be "off task" they can quote whatever item we were just presenting on perfectly even thought hey were "doodling" instead of taking notes the traditional way.  So Why not harness that into sketch nothing and make it more than "doodling" but engaging in the meaning of the notes with drawings?  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>1 - Plan to Use: I love this idea! Like I stated earlier, I have used online pre-made resources that were guided notes but also had doodles within them regarding the content. I had no idea it was an actual thing! This might help students who have that geometric background as a successful outlet to take notes. Would like to research and find some pre-designed sketch-notes for upcoming units that I will be doing, or definitely over the summer break, for next year. Note necessarily to do every day, but as a neat tool to add in there or there as an additional fun but meaningful note taking strategy.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Two types the ACER Chromebook Spin 11 and the ASIS Chromebook C213.&nbsp; Both will have stylist capability.&nbsp; They will also have world facing as well as forward facing camera features.&nbsp; You will also be able to, as the admin, use approved android apps on these chrome books. &nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned: New really creative Apps In Chromebooks offer neat feature through the updates in Google Classroom within the Android APPS and with the help of the new stylist enabled Chromebook students can now complete assignments, homework, annotation, etc in classroom app. This is a neat crossover point with the tablet and Chromebook usage.&nbsp;<br><br>3 - Something Learned - Kasey Bell on the Podcast is creating a searchable educational database of educational hashtags used on Twitter. &nbsp; This would be helpful in finding educational topics you are interested in. &nbsp;<br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>2 - Things To Share: I have a teacher at another school I am friends with that uses Google Sites, and I need to share these updates with her: Google Sites has a new drag and drop interface like what I used to use (and they did too) in Weebly.&nbsp; They also have now added an auto-save function, that was not previously there. &nbsp;<br><br>2 - When looking at writing technology grants with my team or even for myself in the future..... I need to consider less grants for Ipads but possibly now grants for some of the new Chromebooks that have these innovate tablet and Chromebook joint features. More bang for buck, with new innovations and changes Chromebooks are making! </div>]]></description>

However, in the future that decision might need to be re-visited for next year. The new options in Google sites are interesting and very user friendly. As they stated, the ability to share with the authentic audience is really neat. I need to remember the possibility of using google sites in the future. </div>]]></description>
