People used to say that T-Pain was the artist that ruined music because he was one of the first rappers to use Autotune and using it was considered bad because people think that you could not sing.

Andy Hildebrand is the inventor of Autotune. He used to make a living out of oil by extracting it. Sound was used in this method and the he adapted it to create Autotune.

Before Autotune, artists would spend a lot of time in recording studios until they could be in tune. This represented a waste of money and time.

The majority of people knew of the existence of Autotune because of Cher and her song called "Believe" where she used it a lot.

Suzanne Ciani was one of the first people to begin using electronical music.

When Kanye West started using Autotune, this marked the way for a lot of rapers to start using this tool without fear.

Autotune is so popular in Arabic countries. This is believed because of the call to pray. Three times a day, a giant speaker around this countries, a voice announces the time to pray.

I have always been very enthusiastic when it comes to autotune, I think the enters into the industry of the music was so amazing and controversial at the same time. But before watching the chapter, we believed that autoTune was actually an industrial machine wich was able to create increible effects once you put your singing sample. but instead of that we figured out that it was a software invented by Andy Hildebrand.

A brilliant mind that revolutionized the industry and was not appreciated for a long time until, after the world began to hear these hit songs featuring this genius invention.

The people who use Auto-Tune set a reference point, we can call it a scale or specific notes, for example it could be a rate at which derivations from this point will be digitally corrected. This rate can be carefully calibrated so a voice sounds "natural," by tacking the voice smoothly back to the reference pitch. Artists can make the correction happen quickly and artificially, which results in the warbling, digitized voices now all the rage in pop, hip-hip, reggae and other types of music as we see it on the chapter.
