A similarity we found between the two creation myths is that each state that in the beginning, there was nothing. Both stories explain how everything in the universe was created, but they each have a unique viewpoint on how they came to be. In mythology, myths state that all materials and places were created by multiple gods specializing in a certain field. Catholicism, on the other hand, states that one God created every single thing. One similarity, though, is that they both believe that souls, after death, would go to a dwelling place until the end of time. Both religions say that their God/gods created heaven, were the completely holy souls go, and hell, were sinners and non-believers go. Myths state that beings called titans ruled the universe before gods overthrew them. Catholics, however, believe that their God has been the only ruler for all of time. The final difference that we noted is that some of the gods in mythology are not very fond of humans, but, in Catholicism, our God is believed to love every single human, no matter what they have done.

In the stories, although in Christianity started with nothing, both came by chaos. Although in Greek mythology the myth revolves around multiple beings, the Bible's rendition involved 1 person. There is a supreme being in each. In the mythology story, the beings chained off of each other, no first humans. They were both started by dust in each human creation story. The supreme gods had children in the story and was more an offbeat timeline. They both mention heaven and earth.

One similarity is that both of the creation stories started out as chaos. Another similarity is that night and day were both created. Also, both stories led to human existence on earth. One difference is that the Greeks believe there are many gods that created earth, while Cristians believe that one God created earth. Also, the Greeks believed that chaos was a person. Lastly, Greeks believe that earth was made first, but Cristians believe light and darkness were made first.

In both stories, there are many similarities, but there are more differences. For example, in both stories there is an unorganized space and chaos, but in Christian myths, chaos is not a person. Another similarity is that both worlds were created by a greater supernatural power. With the idea of one supernatural power, the Greek Myth has more than one, which is not the case in Christian Mythology. A major difference between the two is in the Christian Myth there are seven days, but there is only one in the Greek Myth. Lastly, both have the creation of animals and life beings, but not monsters like the Greek Myth. In conclusion, there are many similarities and differences, but in the end, they are both used to explain our existence.

Some similarities between the two creation stories are that they both started out with "vast, unorganized space." Night, day, and time were created. Chaos and God both created time. Some differences are that there were no Cyclopes in the Christian stories. There are not any big monsters in the Christian creation story. In the Christian story, one God creates everything, while in the Greek myth three gods have a hand in creating the world.

In both the Ancient Greek and Christian creation story, the world is in some sort of chaos, and there is a heaven and Earth. Also, both stories have a deity of some sort who creates the world. However, in the Christian story, there is only God, while in the Greek story there are many. Also, the Greek story includes more creatures that don't exist, such as Cyclopes and one hundred handed Giants. Lastly, new things in the Greek story of creation are born by Gaea, but they are created from nothing by God.
