Water.org is an organization formed in 2009 by Gary White and Matt Damon. Matt Damon and Gary White had currently been working on separate humanitarian projects when they met but soon came together and created Water.org. As the name hints, Water.org raises funds for clean drinking water and sanitation, but it impacts much more. Not having available potable water leads to illnesses and infections, and women must currently walk miles to collect this dirty drinking water which means they cannot attend school.
As of 2013, Water.org received a score of 96.33 out of 100 according to CharityNavigator.org

They are working to make potable water and sanitation areas a guarantee for every person around the globe, thus creating an overall better quality of life for all people. When people don't have to worry about the most basic aspects of their lives, they can strive in the other important aspects such as education, careers etc. They currently work in 13 different countries/regions throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Water.org has volunteers as well as paid workers working to make potable water available to everyone. Both volunteers and workers are currently working in Water.org headquarters and rural communities around the globe.

This organization achieves funds through their WaterEquity and WaterCredit programs:
They find an area in need of a micro-finance solution, small and affordable loans with low interest rates. Areas that can sustain the change because their is enough need for the loans, areas with enough people asking for microloans, and areas where microloans would seriously impact the quality of life. They partner with institutions that provide microloans and help to get the program started providing the resources needed such as education and go-to-market support. These loans are then offered to individuals and families in need of drinking water or toilets and are affordable to pay making it easy for the people in need to repay them. Once one loan is paid, a new one can be made to the next person and as it passes along an entire community it can completely improve the lives and futures of its members. They use in country partners so that the programs are run by people passionate about ending the water crisis and are interested in seeing their communities strive. Water.org uses global advocacy to spread the word and to create partnerships, it is also possible to donate via the website.

Contact via the website :
http://water.org/contact/

Pure and Potable is an organization founded in 2017 by Kendra Lorteau. The name Pure and Potable means free of any contamination and safe to drink. Kendra Lorteau developed a passion for human rights when she was 15 years old, she raised funds for water through vows of silence etc. She believes that water is a fundamental right and that it is an abomination to deny water or to ignore our own species when they are in need. Children worldwide are dying from water contamination simply because they were born into a poor family; had they been born into a country with higher income they most likely would have received potable water their entire life. The founder believes that a persons geographic location should have no effect on whether or not they get the basic necessities in life. This organization emphasizes the idea that we are all humans and we should help each other out as though they are our families, we shouldn't have to imagine ourselves in their shoes to care, we should value all lives as if they were our own.

This company believes that all the water consumed by humans should be of this quality regardless of finances or location. This organization was created with goals to achieve safe drinking water for all people worldwide, and they meet this goal with fundraising events and advertising the cause through social media platforms. Only 2.5 percent of the worlds fresh water is pure. 60% of the human body is water and Pure and Potable believes 100% of that water should be clean for everyone. By using social media platforms to promote our organization, we get the word across to people in ways that they can't ignore, however our ads are user friendly in a way that no one will want to ignore and will help initiate passion for the cause within its viewers. This generation is very focused on electronics and the world on the internet, therefore by focusing our promotions where its accessible and popular, we are not only saving money but also reaching an extremely large audience. As we create partners with businesses, we will begin to host fundraising events such as parties, tournaments and festivals etc. the funds achieved through these events go towards well digging, water sanitation processes and sustainable financing in third world countries, whilst the companies working with us get some sort of advertisement. The public can get involved by volunteering for well-digging and sanitation mission trips, fundraising for these projects, attending events and spreading the word by word of mouth and social media.

This organization also hosts pop-up programs throughout third world countries, since we do not have a permanent location, where we need to pay rent etc because it is a pop up hut, we can off these services for very affordable prices. Programs such as women empowerment groups, adult education programs and temporary childcare centers for parents just getting started, these programs are run by various volunteers and educators.
