The plan was for it to be a picture, showing an expression of my inner self. What it is suppose to signify is in a dark place, surrounded by shadows, where I'm alone. I let out what is inside me, and it begins to fill up the room with bright colors. I'm letting out warmth, colors representing emotion. Anger, happiness, sadness, love, calmness, and envy. It represents how what I am can fill a room with light when it's cold and dark.

I used the effect called Chiaroscuro, where it enunciates on lighting and shadows. I had the cloth glow with light, and everything surrounding the figure be noting but darkness. The cloth is what is illuminating the person. When it came to using the markers, I always started with the lightest color and worked to the darkest, and then that was done, I would refine the colors, go over it if needed, to get rid of any streakiness.
