  • The annual cost utilization for the entire YCK operation is estimated at RM 2.6 million each year.
  • 51% of the cost is used to cover the Programme Operating Cost. 
  • 24% of the cost is used to cover the Programme Direct Cost.
  • 25% of the cost is used to cover the Administrative Support Cost.
  • YCK spends around RM 84,380 for case management and RM 180,983 for Homeschooling Programme.
  • YCK runs 24/7, that is why YCK needs to have permanent employees to manage the Yayasan.

WHY YCK NEED DONATION DESPITE HAVING BIG PARTNERS?
  • Our partners contribute to YCK by giving donations, organizing fundraisers, providing counselling services, etc.
  • For example, Yayasan Sime Darby has been helping YCK by offering scholarships to outstanding children at YCK. Yayasan Sime Darby also helps YCK by sponsoring outreach and development programs for the children.
  • Khazanah Nasional Berhad is one of YCK's largest investors. Khazanah Nasional Berhad has been providing funds to YCK. 
  • YCK has been working closely with UNHCR on handling refugee cases.
  • Although YCK collaborates with strong and big partners, the donations and funds YCK received from them are not enough to sustain the operational cost of YCK.
  • Thus, YCK has to rely on public donations and investments to run the organization.
  • YCK is a 24-hour crisis and drop-in centre for at-risk children. The reason why the cost to run YCK is high is that YCK provides a wide range of services for their children and youths. YCK supports them by providing meals, therapy, and educational programs. Also, YCK organized hundreds of holistic and positive activities and programs every year which are necessary for the growth of the children both mentally and physically. Moreover, YCK also continues to support its alumni by giving allowances and encouragement. 
  • By donating and investing in YCK, the donors and investors can enjoy tax exemption and be a part of the YCK, helping at-risk children and be the change agent of Chow Kit.

- accessing the availability of basic needs in within the family of our children as children can only thrive in their academic developmeProvide schoolnt once their basic needs are met.

YCK Education Fund
- provide children with their basic needs in order to ensure them the best chance to progress in school
- supporting their school fees, exercise books, stationary, uniform and school shoes.
