1. THE BUTTERFLY FOREST IN RHODES - when we did the research, we loved the sentence: "Stand still...a butterfly might touch you!" It is a unique nature reserve on Rhodes where a huge number of butterflies come every year in late May. It is a place where you should be very quiet because any loud noise might scare the butterflies. AMAZING!!!

2. MONEMWASIA - an island off the east coast of the Peloponese, linked to the mainland by a short causeway. The island was actually separated from the mainland by an earthquake in 375 A.D. and later a pathway was constructed to reconnect them. The name of Monemwasia is derived from two Greek words - mone and emwasia, meaning single entrance.

3. AGION OROS - a mysterious and peaceful place, a mountain in Northern Greece and a monastic community. It can be reached only from the sea and to visit it you need to get a permission. The number of daily visitors is limited to 120.

4. DIROS CAVE - a magical, colourful place that reminded us of the caves on the Croatian island of Vis. It is among the most important natural sites in Greece and a place of great archaeological importance because of many fossil animals found there.

5. THE WHITE TOWER OF THESALONIKI - the symbol of the second-largest city in Greece. It is a 34-m high building originally built for defence. Later in history it was a prison and the place of executions during the Ottoman period. Later, when Greece gained control of the city, the tower's exterior was whitewashed and that's how it got its name.
