Studied the laws of movement, mathematics, philosophy, inventions and improvements of inventions, Galileo did it all. Expanding knowledge about astronomy and discovering 4 of Jupiter's many moons, Callisto, Europa, Ganymede and Io. Which are the 4 biggest moons of the planet. Even today, Galileo continues to be inspiration for many for wanting to see things for himself, not just what the Catholic told him.

Isaac Newton

When you absolutely have to figure out why something happened, it's not just overthinking, it's you thinking like Isaac Newton. Studying the laws of gravity, inertia acceleration and even developing calculus, Newton became one of the most famous mathematicians, physicists, astronomers, inventors, authors, and theologians.(Did I miss anything?) Even inspiring geniuses like Albert Einstein. When an apple fell on his head instead of thinking "Ow, that hurt." and going back to reading, he thought "Why? Why did the apple fall down? Why not up or sideways?" And so he studied this fascinating force called "gravity" and developed a huge advancement for science.

Johannes Kepler

The guy who looked at the old model for the solar system and said "Nuh-uh." Johannes Kepler was a keystone to the scientific revolution. With the help of his mentor Tycho Brahe, Kepler was able to make 3 laws of planetary movement. Law of orbits, law of area, and law of periods. With a more accurate depiction of the solar system and how it works, Kepler gave other astronomers a giant leap into knowledge about space. Kepler also gave more information on how seasons worked. The tilt of a planet's axis exposes more sunlight to certain areas.

Ever been called eagle eyes? Tycho Brahe might have with his extremely precise observations with the naked eye. He observed a supernovas and comets just by looking at the sky. Tycho Brahe made astronomical contributions to astronomy. Improving telescopes, building large instruments, giving advice on where to look in the night sky to see something beautiful. Tycho Brahe's data become critical for his assistant Johannes Kepler's laws of planetary motion. He's still known for being one of the most accurate astronomers there were.

The scientific method wouldn't be as used if it wasn't for Francis Bacon. He popularized the science and is considered the father of the scientific method. Bacon believed real knowledge came from experience. He would run experiments on things to figure out why they happen. He would rather find out things for himself than ask ancient authorities. "Knowledge itself is power." he'd say, which would inspire many iconic artists in the scientific revolution.

Know as the father of astronomy, Nicolaus Copernicus gave humanity a better understanding about the solar system we live in. Suggesting that the sun is at the center of the solar system, and the Earth spins on its axis once a day, and completes an orbit around the sun annually, which is called a heliocentric model. No doubt some looked at him like a fool, but little did they know he just made a great impact on our understanding of astronomy.
