It was the most relevant in the summer 2014. As far as comparing it to other hashtags goes, although spreading awareness about ALS is a big deal, it pales in comparison to the movement the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag has sparked up. Not many people are personally affected by ALS, and therefore cannot relate to this hashtag as much as others. More people find their voice on social media, and while they may not have the platform athletes have, they still have their own little platform through social media.
