This looks like a great tool in the right circumstances. I could foresee this being beneficial in helping learners brainstorm for project ideas. I will consider utilizing it for next years cohort. My concern would be not to add another technology platform to this years students. From an educators perspective this may be great; however, from the learners perspective they may find it burdensome. Learners this year have already had to learn at least five different platforms for lectures, tests, and collaborating.

This is a wonderful tool! I have heard about this before, but I haven't had a chance to actually use it. I will definitely use this in my Intro to TESOL class next week, (in-person) and let students share their ESL websites during class or even their lesson plans.

I doubt I would use it since I try to keep with what the students have access to. Also, the college provides our laptops and we cannot add or remove programs/software ourselves.
The benefit I noted would be secret mode to protect tests used through the program. I also like this discussion board better than Blackboard. It is easier to find posts. The multiple user community is a fun way to have a virtual study group.
This program is busy in that it has numerous steps to use it and I am not sure if it is compatible with LMS and Blackboard.

Blackboard's discussion forum does not really promote active discussion. I could see how I could in future use Padlet instead. It is definitely worth looking into. I do have however agree that we have to be careful of digital tool overload. I would only want to add a new tool if it could be relatively seamlessly incorporated into our LMS.

It would especially be useful to use for student introductions. Currently we have a student post their introductions in a post on a Blackboard Discussion Board - definitely outdated. Padlet would facilitate the students personalizing their introductions with the ability to add photos and links to areas which interest them or highlight projects they are working on. As Dave highlights, it is very unlikely DoD would approve use of Padlet for our courses.
