    Die Hauptkomponenten eines Computers sind der Prozessor (CPU) und der Arbeitsspeicher (RAM). Der Prozessor ist die zentrale Datenverarbeitungeinheit eines Computers. Er ist in der Lage, Programme auszuführen und Daten zu verarbeiten. Im Arbeitsspeicher können Programme und Daten abgelegt werden und zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt wieder abgerufen werden. Dabei greift der Prozessor direkt auf den Arbeitspeicher zu und kann Daten auslesen bzw. Daten ablegen.
