         <description><![CDATA[<div>Irving Berlin was born in Tyumen, Russia, on May 11, 1888, and immigrated to New York as a child. He would become one of the most popular songwriters in the United States.  His family fled to escape the region's persecution of the Jewish community and settled in New York City in the mid-1890s.  As a teen, Baline worked as a street singer, and by 1906 he had become a singing waiter in Chinatown. His first published tune was 1907's "Marie From Sunny Italy," with Nick Nicholson penning the music. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Eric Fromm is from Frankfurt, Germany and is a socialist. Due to the 🤬 invasion, Eric was pushed out of the country because it was no longer safe.  He first moved to Geneva and then to Columbia University in New York. Fromm helped form the New York branch of the Washington School of Psychiatry in 1943, and in 1946 co-founded the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology. When Fromm moved to Mexico City in 1949, he became a professor at the UNAM and established a psychoanalytic section at the medical school there. He had to overcome being accepted into the new country and playing a lead role in peoples every day life.</div>]]></description>

He eventually migrated to the United States in 1980 and starred in the film 'The Killing Fields'. This movie was a portrayal of refugee Dith Pran, who was also in the Cambodian holocaust. In 1985, he won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.  Later, he co-wrote the movie Haing Ngor: A Cambodian Odyssey. After starring in many different movies throughout his careeer, he was shot and killed in 1996, outside his apartment in Los Angeles.</div>]]></description>

After he fought in the civil war he settled in St. Louis, where he became a reporter in a daily German newspaper. After this be bought a share in this company then resold it later. While doing this he got into politics which lead him to be elected in the Missouri legislator. Some obstacles he faced was when he owned the dominant evening newspaper in St. Louis, his chief editorial writer shot to death an political opponent. Because of this, he shifted his newspaper business to new york, where he purchased a newspaper which would, in later times, be the leading journalistic voice of the democratic party in the United States. </div><div><br> </div>]]></description>
