It began with the stock market crash in October 1929, which wiped out millions of investors. Practically all of the U.S.A. was in crippling debt as the citizens struggled to survive on what little they had. Several Americans did not make it through the Great Depression, but once it had ended (1939), America was able to rebuild itself and along with it, the industrialization of several other countries.</div>]]></description>
