He was brought to the Glade where many boys experienced what Miles was going through. He forgot his name, parents, family, or who put him there.Two days after he arrived, a girl arrived. They weren't suppose to receive another person until the next month. The girl was the first girl they ever received. The girl had a note she was holding; "She's the last one ever" was written in bold black letters.
When Alby, one of the leaders, was injured and pulled by Minho, the Keeper of the runners, didn't make it out on time, Thomas broke a rule by running into the maze when he wasn't suppose to. No one who stay in the maze overnight survived, but Thomas managed to hide Alby and kill a griever, a creature that lives in the Maze and comes out after dark which never been done before. When they got back, some people wanted to punish Thomas for breaking the rule, but Minho nominated him to be a runner. The next day Minho, Thomas, and a few other runners when out to see what was in the griever. They found a cylinder thing that was flashing in the griever. There was a number and a word, WICKED. The next day only Minho and Thomas went. They found out the number of the maze. When they got to Maze 7, the cylinder thing stared blinking faster and faster. The cylinder was a key to the grievers hole, where the grievers enter and exit. It was there chance of escaping. That night they got back, the maze didn't close. The grievers started enter stinging people which killed them. Many people died including Alby. When one of the griever's sting came off, Thomas stung himself to experience the Changing which helped him remember who put him there. He saw Theresa, the girl and him were the ones who helped the creators make the Glade. He heard many times "WICKED is good". 
 Some people who didn't trust Thomas stayed and the rest went with him. When they went in the grievers hole, there was a dark tunnel. The enter a room, the researchers and scientists where looking at them. Gally, a boy from the Glade who hated Thomas showed up: his eyes were red and he was shaking, the Creators were controlling him. He tried to kill Thomas, but he killed Chuck, Thomas best friend. A lady walked up to them: explained the Glade was built because the world was in catastrophe by the solar flares that are happening around the world. As she was finishing, a group of people dressed in black stared killing the people in the room. As the lady was dying she said "WICKED is good". The people helped Thomas and them escape. Thomas and the survivors shouldn't believe WICKED is good and they should've ran away from the people who killed the creators. How can Thomas and them believe that WICKED is good if they keep seeing or hearing the word without knowing what it means. Before the woman died, she said the world was in catastrophe by the solar flare; however, when they when out, the world seem normal with nothing in danger. It was just a sunny regular day. I don't think they should trust the people who killed the creators because they might just want to experiment on them and continue WICKED. Also the killing seems to be after they escaped the Glade which may be just a coincidence, but why did they chose that day to kill the creators. The killers also didn't know about Thomas and them escaping. The theory may be the people who killed the creators were working side-to-side with the creators. Well it might just be the Creators reminding them but, why do only Thomas and Theresa hear it. The Creators knew Thomas was the one to help the people in the Glade escape so they might as well remind them that WICKED is good so when to get out, they will believe that and not go against it. According to the epilogue, Ava Paige, the chancellor, explains "The mission of WICKED is to serve and preserve humanity, no matter the cost. We are, indeed, 'good.'". This shows that they would risk teens to experiment on to save humanity and why would she put good in quotation marks. Therefore, they might be the bad guy of the story which leads to the killing of the Creators. A group of people dressed all in black, ran in to the room shooting each Creator. The weird thing is why did the people who killed the creators the day Thomas and the survivors escape. How did they know they were about to escape? The word WICKED was heard over and over again saying it is good, but you never know if it's just a lie. Should Thomas and the survivors believe wicked is good?
