The Blue Berets (Denmark’s international veteran organization) celebrate Flag Day on September the 5th in various ways across the country.

In cooperation with local garrisons, local authorities, other voluntary organizations etc. the Blue Berets are holding events at different levels in recognition of veterans' international efforts to Denmark.

The Flag Day is celebrated in Copenhagen by the official Denmark attended by the Royal family, parliament, defense, etc. in the form of:

-A wreath-laying ceremony at the "Monument for Denmark's International Efforts" in the Citadel.

-Memorial service in Holmen's Church for relatives of fallen soldiers and attended by the Royal Family, the Prime Minister and others.

-Parade of Denmark's deployed at Christiansborg Palace Square with speeches by, among other things Minister of Defence and Chief of Defence.

-The Parliamentary Reception for this year's deployed veterans and their families at Christiansborg.

-The Blue berets celebration of Flag Day at the event at Christiansborg Palace Square to the recognition of all veterans and their families.
