         <description><![CDATA[<pre>Cigarette smoking is the leading cause of illness and early death in the United States. Although cigarette use has been slowly declining in the United States, many alternatives have gained popularity.

Examples of alternative products that supply tobacco and nicotine are:

Electronic cigarettes or "vaping"

Smokeless tobacco

Water pipes

These come in various shapes, sizes, and flavors.

Alternative tobacco products contain harmful chemicals and toxins that pose health risks. Chemicals and toxins can cause serious medical problems, including cancer.

In 2019, an outbreak of serious lung injury associated with e-cigarette use is occurring in the US A specific cause of lung injury has yet to be determined. It is not clear whether nicotine or tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) fluids have an effect or whether the origin of the vaporizers or their ingredients is relevant. Until I know more, people of all ages should not use vaporizers.

If you smoke or use these products, talk to your doctor. Ask him how you can quit.
