         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cause: They had an absolute monarchy, and most people were denied basic rights.<br>Effect: The rule of the monarchy and aristocracy was challenged and ended.<br><br>Cause: Common people had no say in government.<br>Effect: Declaration of the Rights of Man.<br>Cause: Their king and queen only cared for themselves. <br>Effect: All the types used were a Legislative Assembly, the Committee of Public Safety, the Directory, and a Constitutional Republic.<br>Cause: Taxes, autocracy. <br>Effect: France's taxation regime became excessive, inefficient and unfair.<br>The nobility and clergy were also exempt from some direct taxes.<br><br><br><mark>political causes of french revolution .          <description><![CDATA[<div>Cause: The French Catholic Church recognised the authority of the pope as head of the Roman Catholic Church<br>Effect: Negotiated certain liberties that privileged the authority of the French monarch. <br><br>Cause: The revolution brought down France's Ancient Régime<br>Effect: Led to the establishment of a new order that promised to totally rehashing society.<br><br>Cause: A new civil religion was introduced - patriotism<br>Effect: The Gregorian calendar was eliminated and replaced with names related to nature, months were rearranged to containe three weeks of ten days apiece.<br><br>Cause: The constituent assembly began a campaign against the church by stating a declaration of the rights of men.<br>Effect: The church could no longer have any say in public matters.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Cause: Military defeats in 1748 and 1763 undetermined the prestigue of the French Monarchy<br>Effects: Building up strong military forces to prepare for war.<br><br>Cause: General Napoleon Bonaparte clear the French military reforms. He doubled two or three divisions into a section.
