Hello there, I'm bluey and I've been friends with Billy for years. After years of friendships we still get into the most stupid arguments. Billy keeps bringing up something that happened a long time ago that he just won't let go. He continues to bring up how I accidentally burned down a banana tree. I think I need to tell Billy the full story on what happened because he wasn't there.

Hi I'm Billy. Bluey may say that were friends however after the stunt he pulled last year he can never be forgiven. Bluey burnt down an entire banana tree on purpose. He lit a match and set it on fire. I don't understand how he just got away with it and everyone else thinks it's okay! Bluey needs to be punished for his actions. He could have burnt down the whole forest!

3. Honest, Appropriate, Respectful, Direct

Bluey and Billy meet for their weekly coffee and Bluey decides to discuss what had happened with the banana tree.

Bluey: Hey Billy I think we need to talk.

Billy: About what?

Bluey: Well I wanted to tell you the full and true story about what happened with the banana tree. I know that you have heard some rumors that aren't true.

Billy: I think I have heard the truth and I'm not happy about it however I would love to hear your story.

Bluey: Okay so basically, I saw one of the other monkeys smoking and obviously that isn't okay.

Billy: Well you caught my attention ...

Bluey: So what happened was I knocked the smoke out of his hands and I didn't realize but it was still lit. I tried to stomp on it however it wouldn't go out and it started a fire in the weeds next to the big banana tree.

Billy: This is starting to make a lot more sense.

Bluey: Yes! Then the fire spread into the banana tree. I wouldn't intentionally burn down the big banana tree ever. By the time I found water to put the fire out it was too late. The tree was already gone.

4. Apology

Billy: I want to say that I'm sorry. I shouldn't have listened to all of the rumors about the big banana tree and about what happens to it. I should have came to you directly and asked what had happened and not made assumptions. I am sorry and if anything like burning down a banana tree comes up in the future I promise I will handle it better.

Bluey: It is okay! Thank you for saying that though. I just wanted to address the situation because I noticed that you seemed to be still upset about it.
