In my opinion that, this Brexit have affect the economy in Asia which when the currency in Britain decrease, there must some countries’ currency will increase to keep the economy balance. So, the Japan was achieved the high currency rate after the Brexit but the Japan Government were not happy for their high currency rate because their currency suddenly become higher and this will cause the other countries need to spend more money to trade with them so this was affect their exportation and decrease their country profit.

Question 2:
As the financial manager, they should advise the companies to reduce the investment in Britain. This is because the economy in there will downturn for some period and need the time to recover it so this will make the investors get less return.

It was held on Thursday 23 June, to decide whether the UK should leave or remain in the European Union. Leave won by 52% to 48%.The referendum turnout was 71.8%, with more than 30 million people voting. It was the highest turnout in a UK-wide vote since the 1992 general election. The breakdown was that England voted strongly for Brexit, by 53.4% to 46.6%, as did Wales, with Leave getting 52.5% of the vote and Remain 47.5%. However, Scotland and Northern Ireland both voted staying in the EU. Scotland voted Remain by 62% to 38%, while 55.8% in Northern Ireland voted Remain and 44.2% Leave. In addition to that, some of the sharpest initial financial turmoil after Britain’s voting to leave the European Union was felt in Japan, as investors simultaneously bought the yen and dumped Japanese stocks. A stronger yen is considered to be bad for the export-oriented Japanese economy and especially for large multinationals like Hitachi or Toyota, whose overseas revenue are squeezed when foreign currencies lose their value against the yen.

Q2: Financial Managers should recognize the advantages and disadvantages that specific industry corporation will face as the economic situation changes and when the schedule for Article 50 is rolled out. Moreover, as the UK and the European Union work through Article 50, financial managers must come out with a strategic plan to adapt to the changes related to taxation, HR laws and policies and also legal entity and regulatory status.

The referendum roiled global markets, including currencies, causing the British pound to fall to its lowest level in decades. Financial markets have been jittery. In the UK, the centre of the storm, the pound sterling has plunged to a four-decade low and the FTSE has fallen sharply. Moody’s quickly downgraded the UK’s credit rating from stable to negative and a number of US banks in London have initiated the process of relocating to other European capitals. Bank of England has announced a 250 billion pound sterling contingent facility. “Contagion” effects of Brexit has been felt worldwide. In the US, the Dow Jones plunged by more than 500 points last Friday. Asian markets also crumbled with Tokyo’s Nikkei falling by 7.9 per cent. Its worst fall since March 2011. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell by 2.9 per cent and Singapore’s benchmark Strait Times index by two per cent. A flurry of high level meetings are also being held both in the UK and various European capitals on how to deal with the first exit by a sovereign country from the EU. Leaders of the EU are worried about the demands from populist antiEU parties in France and the Netherlands for referendums of their own on EU membership. Scotland could pull out of the UK and Northern Ireland could reunify with the Republic of Ireland.
Q2: A finance manager in a corporation could play roles in solving this issue. The referendum showed a result of 52% of voters in Britain support to leave.

British access to international market is governed by the EU market size. Many trade deals between EU and Asean country such China, Korea and Japan is because of the size of population of the EU. The number of population is important in trading, because that is what determines the size of market (demand). If Britain make it to leave the EU, it will be a disadvantage for them because their population is only 64 millions compared to EU's 440 millions. Which means, a new trade agreement will need to be arranged between Britain and Asian countries.

Question 2
The result of the referendum, which shows that 52% of voters support to leave, has lead to chaos in the British's financial market. Examples include Cambodia, Vietnam and particularly Hong Kong, which have stronger trade ties with the U.K. Brexit would have only a limited impact on emerging Asia and the possibility of a sharp slowdown in China.

Question 2
Brexit has created uncertainty for the financial services sector.
