an object of my transformation is food. my relationship with food is very flawed and very complicated and has fluctuated throughout my life. when i was younger, my mom was in school and for 3 years straight i had microwaved meals and i grew tired of it so i started learning how to cook for myself which had transformed my relationship with food. it has helped me figure out what i wanted to put in my body and have control over what i wanted to fuel myself with. knowing how to cook for myself makes me feel independent and like i can take care of myself and i value my independence a lot and my food/ cooking journey is a part of it.

Transformation is continuous growth, learning, and accepting. The pandemic has taught me a lot, I didn’t think Would enjoy gardening as much as I do. I was able to experience a lot of transformative emotions through it. When I was learning about how to nourish a garden I was excited. When I saw fruits begin to grow, I had to endure being patient. There are lots that we learn about ourselves when we try new things. We either grow to really enjoy it or find out the activity isn’t for us. To transform we must at least try.
