I Prevail influences me because of their unique sound within the niche of a melodic metalcore and hard rock hybrid. Their music resonates with me because they are authentic to themselves, if they don't like the songs they write, their fans won't, and they either scrap the song or make it perfect for their fans.

Linkin Park is a strong influence on I Prevail for the same reasons as Pierce the Veil. They have been at the top of the Punk Rock world since the release of "One step closer" in 2000. They also had the two vocalists with different singing styles that can be seen in I Prevail. Being the biggest punk rock band of all time, Linkin Park has played a massive role in the influence of the genre as a whole, not only singular bands.

Pierce the Veil is a direct influence on I Prevail as they have been Punk titans since the release of "King for a Day" with Kellin Quinn. Inspiration from Pierce the Veil can be seen in I Prevail with the dirty, rough, sounding vocalist that's seen in almost every song, used in contrast with the second vocalists smooth, melodic vocals. This idea strongly suggests that King for a Day played a massive role in the formation of I Prevail.

We Came As Romans has a direct influence on I Prevail, as they are also from Detroit. We Came As Romans was always seen as an idol by I Prevail, since the very beginnings of their careers. Both bands even have songs that pay tribute to the "punk goes pop" scene, both covering 2 different Taylor Swift songs as their debut releases.

NOTHING MORE inspires my music career with their distinctive use of digital instruments, synths, and key signatures. Their music perfectly encapsulates what each member of the band goes through, not only with the lyrics, but with the style of instrumentals, this resonates with me because they write who they are in the art they make. When I first heard 'Jenny' it changed the way i viewed music entirely, opening my mindset to understand that music isn't only about how good real instruments sound, but seeing music as a genuine form of art.

System of a Down influences NOTHING MORE as stated by Jonny Hawkins. You can also hear many similarities in the songs they write, often having soft, acoustic sections, followed by super heavy riffs and vocals. This stylistic choice was pioneered by System of a Down.

Incubus can be seen as inspiration for NOTHING MORE in terms of songwriting and lyricism. They have very similar styles of lyrics, often using metaphors and loose connections to events to explain several stories in a single song. Even the song structures are similar as there are a lot of pauses between lyrics to let the instruments shine throughout the whole track.

Killswitch Engage is also a big inspiration for many metalcore artists as they have a perfect understanding of what metalcore is, and that knowledge has been passed down to many bands who came after them.
