Kennedy recived a letter from Khrushchev saying that the misiles were for defence but it said that if they have assurance that the US wont attack and end the blockade with cuba they may destroy the missiles.

Kennedy recived another letter from the USSR saying that they woud remove the misiles if the US removes the missiles located in Turkey (he accepted this terms), also a US pilot was shot down wile flying over Cuba.
