Growing up before College I have been an advent sports fan. I played softball my whole life and enjoyed the sport and learning about it. I gave softball lessons to younger girls and it really made me realize I want to do this in the future. I dreamt about being able to make a difference in kids lives especially because I had that experience with my coach growing up.

My time in college has been incredibly valuable in shaping me into the coach I want to become. Through hands-on experience with teams like the Fort Smith Patriots and coursework in physical education, I’ve learned how to lead with confidence, communicate clearly, and break down complex skills into teachable moments. I’ve run practices, created scouting reports, and built game strategies, but more importantly, I’ve learned how to connect with players and earn their respect. My professors and mentors have challenged me to grow both technically and personally, helping me develop a coaching philosophy centered on discipline, teamwork, and positive motivation. These experiences have prepared me to step into the coaching world with a solid foundation and a clear sense of purpose.

When I graduate, I want to become a full-time softball coach and work with young athletes to develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game. Coaching at the high school level is my main goal because I enjoy working with players during a time when they’re not only growing as athletes but also as individuals. I want to build a program that emphasizes hard work, accountability, and teamwork while creating a positive and competitive environment. I’m passionate about helping players understand the game on a deeper level whether it’s refining their swing, improving fielding techniques, or learning game strategy. Most importantly, I want to be a mentor who inspires athletes to believe in themselves and chase their goals both on and off the field.
