I have learned that this happens when you leave food out for to long, and probably inside the fridge. For sure not in the freezer. Mold is basically small microscopic mushrooms, small living organisms. Both mold and mushrooms are part of the fungi family. Mold comes from small microscopic seeds called spores.  Thay stuck to this old hot dog and started growing mold. If you zoom into them, they resemble small micoscopic mushrooms. This hot dog is not safe to eat anymore. Even the sausage has a weird color to it. Throughout the days it will decompose and turn into soil like my cousins apple. Without decomposers, this hot dog will become hard.
